The
Practice Nursing Team provides a wide range of services including asthma
and diabetes clinics, contraception, ischaemic heart disease, blood
pressure checks and HRT checks as well as dressings and suture removal.

Sister Jane Tate, Practice Nurse Team Leader, joined the
practice in 2007. Jane qualified in London in 1975. Following a
varied nursing career, mainly hospital based, Jane has been practice
nursing for the last seven years. Jane has a special interest in
heart Disease and the management of this condition. She currently
runs our weekly Coronary Heart Disease Clinic. |

Sister Carol
Black, Practice Nurse, joined the practice in 2007. Carol
has been a practising nurse for 32 years. Following a long
career in the hospital nursing environment, Carol began practice
nursing in 2007. Carol has a special interest in the management
of respiratory conditions and smoking cessation. |

Sister Carol Fleming,
Practice Nurse, joined the practice in 2004. She has been a
qualified Registered General Nurse for 23 years. Carol has been a
practice nurse for the last few years, having had many years experience
within the hospital setting. Carol has a special interest in Diabetes
(having recently successfully gained her Certificate in Diabetes Care)
and plays an active part in the running of our diabetes clinic. |

Sister Jo Wassell
Practice Nurse, joined the
team in 2006. Jo qualified in 1994 and has been practice nursing for the
last nine years. Jo has special interests in both asthma and family
planning. |

Alla
Dinsdale our Phlebotomist has undertaken further training and is now
employed within he nursing team as Health Care Assistant. Alla is able
to perform a number of tasks which help support the doctors and nurses.
These include phlebotomy, ECGs, blood pressure recordings, simple
dressings and assisting doctors and nurses with certain procedures. |

Our
Health Visitor, Kathy Doughty, is
a trained nurse who has undertaken further training in child, family and
community health. She will be able to discuss with you any aspects of your
child's or family's health and any concerns you may have about your
child's development. |

Our
Community Nurses:
Carol Swinscoe (District Nurse), Corrine Wotton, (Community Staff Nurse)
and Louise Burton (District Nurse Assistant,
pictured) are available to carry out any form of nursing care which is
required in the home. This includes access to other specialist nurses,
including Marie-Curie, MacMillan, etc. |
